Dr. Kaitlyn Thomas

Associate Veterinarian

Growing up I loved animals of all shapes and sizes. From frogs and hamsters to dogs and cats to goats and pigs, I could never get enough. But it wasn’t until my childhood dog Josie required an extended stay at a veterinary hospital that I knew becoming a veterinarian was my calling. From that experience I was able to see firsthand how important kindness, compassion and respect are, not only for the pet, but also for their family. Every day I strive to follow those three tenets so I too can make a difference in a pet and their owner’s life just like those vets did for Josie and me.

I completed my undergraduate training at my hometown school, the University of Nevada, Reno where I earned a degree in Biology. Following that I was accepted at Colorado State University’s Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program. Upon completion of veterinary school my fiancé accepted a position in Charleston so off we went to South Carolina, and we’ve been loving every minute of it.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my fiancé John, our two fluffy Saint Bernards (Sadie and Amelia) and our cat (Andy). I also love spending time outdoors doing activities such as camping, hiking and playing tennis.
